About Ride For Wildlife
Ride For Wildlife is a personal fundraising challenge by Samm Fletcher in aid of Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue.
The idea is simple: every pound donated unlocks another mile of cycling. When enough miles have accumulated, a new session unlocks — and Samm gets back on the bike across Lincolnshire and beyond.
The Challenge
Sessions start from the Cleethorpes / Grimsby area, riding out in different directions. The first session (S1) is always unlocked as a base — a lap of the local response area. After that, sessions unlock in sequence as funds grow:
- Odd-numbered sessions = 1 day, 50 miles
- Even-numbered sessions = 2 days, 100 miles, with a wild camp overnight
- Sessions beyond S8 are auto-generated as donations continue to grow
About Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue
Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue is based in North East Lincolnshire. They rescue, rehabilitate, and release wild animals — from hedgehogs and birds to foxes and deer — giving them a second chance at life in the wild.
How Donations Work
- Donations are collected via GoFundMe (or by bank transfer / cash to avoid fees)
- The GoFundMe total is polled every 5 minutes and updates this site automatically
- £1 donated = 1 mile of available cycling unlocked
- All funds go directly to Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue
